About

It all started when…

I started playing drums at the age of 16, quickly gravitating to players such as Mike Portnoy, Virgil Donati and Buddy Rich.

With a love of odd time signatures I found myself studying at the ACM in Guildford. Here I was able to explore this side to my playing and expand upon many new areas. Graduating with a degree in Contemporary Music, where I was privileged enough to earn a 2 month intensive study in LA. One of the highlights of this trip was to study with teachers such as Ralph Humphrey and Joe Porcaro.

Upon leaving the ACM I got my first job playing drums for the musical Blondel for Sir Tim Rice. Other musicals followed along with many new band experiences – from rock bands and record deals to playing for signed folk singer/songwriters. My career to date has definitely been varied – and I wouldn’t change a thing!

From working with Jose Gonzales at the itunes sessions in London, to supporting Razorlight in Glasgow. From playing in Paris with Robots in Disguise to Bush Hall with Stephanie Dosen.

In 2018, I moved to Essex where I currently teach privately. I have been fortunate to have been invited to give clinics and Masterclasses as I have leaned into delivering online and in person education. Highlights include performing at Rockbottom studios (an old stomping ground) and opening up for Richard Spaven for The School of Drumming.

I am delighted that this year (2023) I get to deliver a Masterclass at the UK Drum Show in Liverpool.

I now have a packed teaching roster in Essex, whilst juggling gigs, Drum Camps, Masterclasses and podcasting!
